Real Cases

Stating in employment agencies, a lot of funny things happened in here. A customer went to South Dakota to work in a restaurant. He took the plane when he went there, and it didn’t take very long for him to get there. After a few months, he took a Greyhound bus, and the ride from South Dakota was over sixty hours long. I still remember what he told me when I saw him again. “The ride took so long, and it was so awful that when I got off the bus, I could barely feel my own butt.”

Mrs. Fan is a baby-sitter, and working in American family for two years. At the beginning, she could not speak English, so she wasn’t easier to communicate with her employer's children. In order to take care of these children and communication, she was trying to teach them Chinese, and lead them to use Chinese to talk with her. For example, when she sent children to school, she would look at things on the road and use Chinese to teach them what that was. Then, just one month, she found she knew how to say some Basic English with her employer, and her employer also could say some Chinese. Also, through her employer, she had many impressive festivals, such as, thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, etc. She knew culture difference between America and China, and share china culture with her employer.

Mr. Qi is a college student; he likes go to travel during in summer vacation. However, he doesn’t a lot of money, his money tells a good idea that is going to find a job, and the job will be close to him where he wants to go. Also, employment agencies have a lot of jobs that suit for him. He can earn money, and use his wage to complete his dream.

Through these cases I change my mind, at the beginning, I am not sure I can live in America better than China. Because I can’t speak fluent English, I am not confident and afraid to say English with others. When I go to employment agency, I think I am so luck because I have a good living environment to learn more knowledge and know more different culture. Therefore, I want to learn more from others, I need to believe in myself that I can do better. Also, Life is kept changing, I should be more confident to face the new environment and new change.
